³⁶ As for those of you who may be left, I will also bring ^(A)weakness into their hearts in the lands of their enemies. And the sound of a driven leaf will chase them, and even when no one is pursuing they will flee ^[a]as though from the sword, and they will fall.

¹¹ When we heard it, ^(A)our hearts melted and no ^[a]courage remained in any man any longer because of you; for the ^(B)Lord your God, He is God in heaven above and on earth beneath.

⁷ And when they say to you, ‘Why do you groan?’ you shall say, ‘Because of the ^(A)news that is coming; and ^(B)every heart will melt, all hands will be feeble, every spirit will ^[a]faint and all knees will ^[b]be weak as water. Behold, it comes and it will happen,’ declares the Lord ^[c]God.”
