The Holiness of the Priests

21 Then Yahweh said to Moses, “Speak to the priests, the sons of Aaron, and say to them:

‘^(A)No one shall defile himself for a dead person among his people,

^11 (A)nor shall he approach any dead person nor defile himself even for his father or his mother;

² “Command the sons of Israel that they ^(A)send away from the camp every leper and everyone having a ^(B)discharge and everyone who is ^[a](C)unclean because of a dead person.

⁶ ‘^(A)All the days of his dedication as a Nazirite to Yahweh he shall not go near to a dead person.

²⁶ Then Paul ^[a]took the men, and the next day, ^(A)purifying himself along with them, ^(B)went into the temple giving notice of the completion of the days of purification, until the sacrifice was offered for each one of them.

Paul Is Arrested

²⁷ Now when ^(C)the seven days were almost over, ^(D)the Jews from ^[b](E)Asia, upon noticing him in the temple, began to throw all the crowd into confusion and laid hands on him,
