9 Aaron must then present the goat which has been designated by lot for the Lord,[a] and he is to make it a sin offering, 10 but the goat which has been designated by lot for Azazel is to be stood alive[b] before the Lord to make atonement on it by sending it away into the desert to Azazel.[c]

10 But the goat, on which the lot fell to be the scapegoat, shall be presented alive before the Lord, to make an atonement with him, and to let him go for a scapegoat into the wilderness.
11 And Aaron shall bring the bullock of the sin offering, which is for himself, and shall make an atonement for himself, and for his house, and shall kill the bullock of the sin offering which is for himself:
