³² The priest who is anointed and ordained^(A) to succeed his father as high priest is to make atonement. He is to put on the sacred linen garments^(B)

⁴² “Make linen undergarments^(A) as a covering for the body, reaching from the waist to the thigh.

²⁹ “Aaron’s sacred garments^(A) will belong to his descendants so that they can be anointed and ordained in them.^(B)

³⁰ The son^(A) who succeeds him as priest and comes to the tent of meeting to minister in the Holy Place is to wear them seven days.

¹⁰ “‘The high priest, the one among his brothers who has had the anointing oil poured on his head^(A) and who has been ordained to wear the priestly garments,^(B) must not let his hair become unkempt^[a] or tear his clothes.^(C)

²⁶ Remove Aaron’s garments^(A) and put them on his son Eleazar, for Aaron will be gathered to his people;^(B) he will die there.”

²⁸ Moses removed Aaron’s garments and put them on his son Eleazar.^(A) And Aaron died there^(B) on top of the mountain. Then Moses and Eleazar came down from the mountain,
