²⁰fracture for ^(A)fracture, ^(B)eye for eye, tooth for tooth; as he has caused disfigurement of a man, so shall it be done to him. ²¹And whoever kills an animal shall restore it; but whoever kills a man shall be put to death.

²⁰fracture for fracture, eye for eye, tooth for tooth.^(A) The one who has inflicted the injury must suffer the same injury. ²¹Whoever kills an animal must make restitution,^(B) but whoever kills a human being is to be put to death.^(C)
