Curăţirea leprei de pe om

14 Domnul a vorbit lui Moise şi a zis: 2 „Iată care va fi legea cu privire la cel lepros în ziua curăţirii lui. Să-l(A) aducă înaintea preotului. 3 Preotul să iasă afară din tabără şi să cerceteze pe cel lepros. Dacă leprosul este tămăduit de rana leprei, 4 preotul să poruncească să se ia, pentru cel ce trebuie curăţit, două păsări vii şi curate, lemn de cedru(B), cârmâz(C) şi isop(D). 5 Preotul să poruncească să se junghie una din aceste păsări într-un vas de pământ, în apă curgătoare. 6 Să ia pasărea cea vie, lemnul de cedru, cârmâzul şi isopul şi să le înmoaie, împreună cu pasărea cea vie, în sângele păsării înjunghiate în apa curgătoare. 7 Să stropească(E) de şapte ori(F) pe cel ce trebuie curăţit de lepră. Apoi să-l declare curat şi să dea drumul păsării celei vii pe câmp. 8 Cel ce se curăţeşte trebuie să-şi(G) spele hainele, să-şi radă tot părul şi să se scalde(H) în apă şi va fi curat. Apoi va putea să intre în tabără, dar să rămână(I) şapte zile afară din cort. 9 În ziua a şaptea, să-şi radă tot părul, capul, barba şi sprâncenele: tot părul să şi-l radă; să-şi spele hainele şi să-şi scalde trupul în apă şi va fi curat. 10 A opta zi(J), să ia doi miei fără cusur şi o oaie de un an fără cusur, trei zecimi dintr-o efă de floarea făinii, ca dar(K) de mâncare, frământat cu untdelemn, şi un log (pahar) de untdelemn. 11 Preotul care face curăţirea să aducă înaintea Domnului pe omul care se curăţă şi toate lucrurile acestea, la uşa cortului întâlnirii. 12 Preotul să ia unul din miei şi să-l(L) aducă jertfă pentru vină, împreună cu logul de untdelemn; să le legene(M) într-o parte şi într-alta înaintea Domnului, ca dar legănat. 13 Să înjunghie mielul în locul(N) unde se înjunghie jertfele de ispăşire şi arderile-de-tot, adică în Locul Sfânt, căci la jertfa pentru vină, ca şi la jertfa de ispăşire(O), dobitocul pentru jertfă va fi al preotului: el este un lucru(P) preasfânt. 14 Preotul să ia din sângele jertfei de ispăşire; să pună pe marginea(Q) urechii drepte a celui ce se curăţeşte, pe degetul cel mare de la mâna dreaptă a lui şi pe degetul cel mare de la piciorul drept. 15 Preotul să ia untdelemn din log şi să toarne în palma mâinii stângi. 16 Preotul să-şi înmoaie degetul mâinii drepte în untdelemnul din palma mâinii stângi şi să stropească din untdelemn de şapte ori cu degetul înaintea Domnului. 17 Din untdelemnul care-i mai rămâne în mână, preotul să pună pe (moalele) marginea urechii drepte a celui ce se curăţeşte, pe degetul cel mare al mâinii drepte şi pe degetul cel mare al piciorului drept, deasupra sângelui de la jertfa pentru vină. 18 Iar untdelemnul care-i mai rămâne în mână, preotul să-l pună pe capul celui ce se curăţeşte şi preotul să facă(R) ispăşire pentru el înaintea Domnului. 19 Apoi, preotul să aducă jertfa de ispăşire(S) şi să facă ispăşire pentru cel ce se curăţeşte de întinăciunea lui. Apoi, să junghie arderea-de-tot. 20 Preotul să aducă pe altar arderea-de-tot şi darul de mâncare şi să facă ispăşire pentru omul acesta, şi va fi curat. 21 Dacă(T) este sărac şi nu poate să aducă toate aceste lucruri, atunci să ia un singur miel, care să fie adus ca jertfă pentru vină după ce a fost legănat într-o parte şi într-alta, ca dar legănat, şi să facă ispăşire pentru el. Să ia o zecime din floarea făinii, frământată cu untdelemn, pentru darul de mâncare şi un log de untdelemn. 22 Să ia şi două turturele(U) sau doi pui de porumbel, după mijloacele lui, unul ca jertfă de ispăşire, celălalt ca ardere-de-tot. 23 În ziua a opta, să aducă(V) pentru curăţirea lui toate aceste lucruri la preot, la uşa cortului întâlnirii, înaintea Domnului. 24 Preotul(W) să ia mielul pentru jertfa de vină şi logul cu untdelemn şi să le legene într-o parte şi într-alta, ca dar legănat, înaintea Domnului. 25 Să junghie mielul jertfei pentru vină. Preotul să ia(X) din sângele jertfei pentru vină; să pună pe marginea urechii drepte a celui ce se curăţeşte, pe degetul cel mare al mâinii drepte şi pe degetul cel mare al piciorului drept. 26 Preotul să toarne untdelemn în palma mâinii stângi. 27 Preotul să stropească de şapte ori cu degetul de la mâna dreaptă înaintea Domnului din untdelemnul care este în mâna stângă a lui. 28 Iar din untdelemnul din mâna lui, preotul să pună pe marginea urechii drepte a celui ce se curăţeşte, pe degetul cel mare al mâinii drepte şi pe degetul cel mare al piciorului drept, în locul unde a pus din sângele jertfei pentru vină. 29 Ce mai rămâne din untdelemn în mână, preotul să-l pună pe capul celui ce se curăţeşte, ca să facă ispăşire pentru el înaintea Domnului. 30 Apoi să aducă una(Y) din turturele sau un pui de porumbel, cum va putea, 31 unul ca jertfă de ispăşire şi altul ca ardere-de-tot, împreună cu darul de mâncare, şi preotul să facă ispăşire înaintea Domnului pentru cel ce se curăţeşte. 32 Aceasta este legea pentru curăţirea celui ce are o rană de lepră şi nu poate să aducă tot ce este rânduit pentru(Z) curăţirea lui.”

Curăţirea leprei de pe case

33 Domnul a vorbit lui Moise şi lui Aaron şi a zis: 34 „După ce veţi intra în ţara Canaanului, pe care v-o dau în(AA) stăpânire, dacă voi trimite o rană de lepră pe vreo casă din ţara pe care o veţi stăpâni, 35 cel cu casa să se ducă să spună preotului şi să zică: ‘Mi se pare că este ceva ca o rană(AB) în casa mea.’ 36 Preotul, înainte de a intra ca să cerceteze rana, să poruncească să se deşerte casa, ca nu cumva tot ce este în ea să se facă necurat. După aceea să intre preotul şi să cerceteze casa. 37 Preotul să cerceteze rana. Dacă vede că pe zidurile casei sunt nişte gropişoare verzui sau roşiatice, care par mai adânci decât zidul, 38 să iasă din casă şi, când va ajunge la uşă, să pună să încuie casa şapte zile. 39 În ziua a şaptea, preotul să se întoarcă în ea. Şi, dacă va vedea că rana s-a întins pe zidurile casei, 40 să poruncească să se scoată pietrele atinse de rană şi să le arunce afară din cetate într-un loc necurat. 41 Să pună să răzăluiască toată partea dinăuntru a casei şi tencuiala răzăluită să se arunce afară din cetate, într-un loc necurat. 42 Să ia alte pietre şi să le pună în locul celor dintâi şi să se ia altă tencuială, ca să se tencuiască din nou casa. 43 Dacă rana se va întoarce şi va izbucni din nou în casă, după ce au scos pietrele, după ce au răzăluit şi tencuit din nou casa, 44 preotul să se întoarcă în ea. Şi, dacă vede că rana s-a întins în casă, este o lepră învechită(AC) în casă: casa este necurată. 45 Să dărâme casa, lemnele şi toată tencuiala casei şi să scoată aceste lucruri afară din cetate, într-un loc necurat. 46 Cine va intra în casă în tot timpul când era închisă va fi necurat până seara. 47 Cine se va culca în casă să-şi spele hainele. Cine va mânca în casă, de asemenea, să-şi spele hainele. 48 Dacă preotul care s-a întors în casă vede că rana nu s-a întins după ce a fost tencuită din nou casa, să declare casa curată, căci rana este vindecată. 49 Pentru curăţirea casei să ia(AD) două păsări, lemn de cedru, cârmâz şi isop. 50 Să junghie una din păsări într-un vas de pământ, într-o apă curgătoare. 51 Să ia lemnul de cedru, isopul, cârmâzul şi pasărea cea vie; să le înmoaie în sângele păsării junghiate şi în apa curgătoare şi să stropească de şapte ori casa. 52 Să cureţe casa cu sângele păsării, cu apa curgătoare cu pasărea cea vie, cu lemnul de cedru, cu isopul şi cârmâzul. 53 Să dea drumul păsării celei vii afară din cetate, pe câmp. Să facă(AE) astfel ispăşire pentru casă, şi ea va fi curată. 54 Aceasta este legea pentru orice rană de lepră şi pentru râia(AF) de cap, 55 pentru lepra(AG) de pe haine şi de(AH) pe case, 56 pentru(AI) umflături, pentru pecingini şi pentru pete: 57 ea arată(AJ) când un lucru este necurat şi când este curat. Aceasta este legea pentru lepră.”

14 El Señor habló a Moisés, diciendo: 2 Esta será la ley del leproso en los días de su purificación. Será llevado al sacerdote(A), 3 y el sacerdote saldrá fuera del campamento(B). El sacerdote lo examinará, y si la infección[a] ha sido sanada en el leproso, 4 el sacerdote mandará tomar dos avecillas vivas y limpias, madera de cedro, un cordón[b] escarlata e hisopo para el que ha de ser purificado(C). 5 Después el sacerdote mandará degollar una de las avecillas en una vasija de barro sobre agua corriente[c]. 6 En cuanto a la avecilla viva, la tomará junto con la madera de cedro(D), el cordón escarlata y el hisopo(E), y los mojará junto con la avecilla viva en la sangre del ave muerta sobre el agua corriente. 7 Después rociará siete veces al que ha de ser purificado de la lepra, lo declarará limpio(F), y soltará al ave viva en campo abierto. 8 Luego el que ha de ser purificado lavará su ropa, se rasurará todo el cabello(G), se bañará en agua y quedará limpio(H). Después podrá entrar al campamento, pero por siete días permanecerá fuera de su tienda(I). 9 Y sucederá que en el séptimo día se rasurará todo el cabello: se rasurará la cabeza, la barba y las cejas; todo su cabello. Entonces lavará su ropa y se lavará el cuerpo[d] en agua, y quedará limpio(J).

10 En el octavo día tomará dos corderos sin defecto, una cordera de un año sin defecto, tres décimas de un efa[e] de flor de harina mezclada con aceite como ofrenda de cereal y un log[f] de aceite(K); 11 y el sacerdote que lo declare limpio, presentará delante del Señor al hombre que ha de ser purificado, con las ofrendas[g], a la entrada de la tienda de reunión. 12 Entonces el sacerdote tomará uno de los corderos[h] y lo traerá como ofrenda por la culpa(L), con el log de aceite(M), y los presentará[i] como ofrenda mecida delante del Señor(N). 13 Enseguida degollará el cordero en el lugar donde degüellan la ofrenda por el pecado y el holocausto(O), en el lugar del santuario, porque la ofrenda por la culpa, lo mismo que la ofrenda por el pecado, pertenece al sacerdote; es cosa santísima(P). 14 Entonces el sacerdote tomará de la sangre de la ofrenda por la culpa(Q), y la pondrá el sacerdote sobre el lóbulo de la oreja derecha del que ha de ser purificado, sobre el pulgar de su mano derecha y sobre el pulgar de su pie derecho(R). 15 El sacerdote tomará también del log de aceite(S), y lo derramará en la palma de su mano izquierda; 16 después el sacerdote mojará el dedo de su mano derecha en el aceite que está en la palma de su mano izquierda, y con el dedo rociará del aceite siete veces delante del Señor. 17 Y de lo que quede del aceite que está en su mano[j], el sacerdote pondrá un poco sobre el lóbulo de la oreja derecha del que se ha de purificar, sobre el pulgar de su mano derecha y sobre el pulgar de su pie derecho, encima de la sangre de la ofrenda por la culpa; 18 y lo que quede del aceite que está en la mano[k] del sacerdote, lo pondrá sobre la cabeza del que ha de ser purificado. Así el sacerdote hará expiación por él delante del Señor(T). 19 Después el sacerdote ofrecerá el sacrificio por el pecado(U) y hará expiación por el que se ha de purificar de su inmundicia. Y después, degollará el holocausto. 20 Y el sacerdote ofrecerá sobre el altar el holocausto y la ofrenda de cereal. Así hará expiación el sacerdote por él, y quedará limpio(V).

21 Pero si es pobre y no tiene suficientes recursos[l](W), entonces tomará un cordero como ofrenda por la culpa, como ofrenda mecida, a fin de hacer expiación por él(X), y una décima de un efa[m] de flor de harina mezclada con aceite para ofrenda de cereal, y un log de aceite(Y), 22 y dos tórtolas o dos pichones, según sus recursos[n], uno será como ofrenda por el pecado(Z) y el otro para holocausto(AA). 23 Al octavo día los llevará al sacerdote para ofrecerlos por su purificación, a la entrada de la tienda de reunión(AB), delante del Señor. 24 Y el sacerdote tomará el cordero de la ofrenda por la culpa y el log de aceite(AC), y los[o] presentará[p] como ofrenda mecida delante del Señor. 25 Luego degollará el cordero de la ofrenda por la culpa, y el sacerdote tomará de la sangre de la ofrenda por la culpa y la pondrá sobre el lóbulo de la oreja derecha del que ha de ser purificado, sobre el pulgar de su mano derecha y sobre el pulgar de su pie derecho(AD). 26 El sacerdote derramará también del aceite sobre la palma de su mano izquierda; 27 y con el dedo de su mano derecha rociará el sacerdote un poco del aceite que está en la palma de su mano izquierda siete veces delante del Señor. 28 Después el sacerdote pondrá del aceite que está en su mano[q] sobre el lóbulo de la oreja derecha del que ha de ser purificado, sobre el pulgar de su mano derecha y sobre el pulgar de su pie derecho, en el lugar de la sangre de la ofrenda por la culpa. 29 Y el resto del aceite que está en la mano[r] del sacerdote lo pondrá en la cabeza del que ha de ser purificado, a fin de hacer expiación por él delante del Señor. 30 Entonces ofrecerá una de las tórtolas o de los pichones, según sus recursos[s]. 31 Ofrecerá lo que pueda[t], uno como ofrenda por el pecado, y el otro como holocausto(AE), junto con la ofrenda de cereal. Así el sacerdote hará expiación delante del Señor en favor del que ha de ser purificado. 32 Esta es la ley para el que tenga infección de lepra, cuyos recursos para su purificación sean limitados[u].

Cuarentena de casas infectadas

33 Habló también el Señor a Moisés y a Aarón, diciendo: 34 Cuando entréis en la tierra de Canaán(AF), que os doy en posesión, y ponga yo una marca de lepra sobre una casa en la tierra de vuestra posesión, 35 el dueño de la casa irá y le avisará al sacerdote[v]: «Algo así como la marca de la lepra ha aparecido en mi casa(AG)». 36 El sacerdote entonces ordenará que desocupen la casa antes de que él[w] entre para examinar la marca, a fin de que nada se contamine en la casa; y después el sacerdote entrará y examinará la casa. 37 Examinará la marca, y si la marca sobre las paredes de la casa tiene depresiones verdosas o rojizas, y parece más profunda que la superficie[x], 38 el sacerdote saldrá[y] a la puerta de la casa, y cerrará la casa por siete días. 39 Y al séptimo día el sacerdote regresará y la inspeccionará[z]. Si la marca se ha extendido en las paredes de la casa, 40 el sacerdote les ordenará quitar las piedras que tienen la marca y arrojarlas a un lugar inmundo fuera de la ciudad. 41 Y hará raspar toda la casa por dentro, y arrojarán fuera de la ciudad, a un lugar inmundo, el polvo[aa] que raspen. 42 Luego tomarán otras piedras y reemplazarán aquellas[ab] piedras; y él tomará otra mezcla y volverá a recubrir la casa.

43 Sin embargo, si la marca vuelve a aparecer en la casa después de que él haya quitado las piedras y raspado la casa, y después de haberla recubierto con mezcla, 44 el sacerdote entrará y la examinará[ac]. Si ve que la marca se ha extendido en la casa, será una lepra maligna en la casa; es inmunda(AH). 45 Derribará, pues, la casa, sus piedras, sus maderas y todo el emplaste de la casa, y los llevará fuera de la ciudad a un lugar inmundo(AI). 46 Además, cualquiera que entre a la casa durante el tiempo que él la cerró, quedará inmundo hasta el atardecer(AJ). 47 También, el que duerma en la casa lavará sus ropas, y el que coma en la casa lavará sus ropas.

48 Pero si el sacerdote entra y la examina[ad], y la marca no se ha extendido en la casa después de que la casa fue recubierta, el sacerdote declarará la casa limpia, porque la marca no ha vuelto a aparecer[ae]. 49 Entonces, para purificar la casa, tomará dos avecillas, madera de cedro, un cordón escarlata e hisopo(AK), 50 y degollará una de las avecillas[af] en una vasija de barro sobre agua corriente. 51 Después tomará la madera de cedro, el hisopo(AL) y el cordón escarlata, junto con la avecilla viva, y los mojará en la sangre de la avecilla muerta[ag] y en el agua corriente, y rociará la casa siete veces. 52 Así purificará la casa con la sangre de la avecilla y con el agua corriente, junto con la avecilla viva, con la madera de cedro, con el hisopo y con el cordón escarlata. 53 Sin embargo, a la avecilla viva la dejará ir en libertad, fuera de la ciudad, hacia el campo abierto. Así hará expiación por la casa, y quedará purificada.

54 Esta es la ley acerca de toda infección[ah] de lepra, o de tiña(AM); 55 y para la ropa o la casa con lepra(AN), 56 para una hinchazón, una erupción o una mancha blanca lustrosa(AO), 57 para enseñar cuándo son inmundas[ai] y cuándo son limpias[aj]. Esta es la ley sobre la lepra.

14 Y habló Jehová a Moisés, diciendo: 2 Esta será la ley para el leproso cuando se limpiare: Será traído al sacerdote, 3 y este saldrá fuera del campamento y lo examinará; y si ve que está sana la plaga de la lepra del leproso, 4 el sacerdote mandará luego que se tomen para el que se purifica dos avecillas vivas, limpias, y madera de cedro, grana e hisopo. 5 Y mandará el sacerdote matar una avecilla en un vaso de barro sobre aguas corrientes. 6 Después tomará la avecilla viva, el cedro, la grana y el hisopo, y los mojará con la avecilla viva en la sangre de la avecilla muerta sobre las aguas corrientes; 7 y rociará siete veces sobre el que se purifica de la lepra, y le declarará limpio; y soltará la avecilla viva en el campo. 8 Y el que se purifica lavará sus vestidos, y raerá todo su pelo, y se lavará con agua, y será limpio; y después entrará en el campamento, y morará fuera de su tienda siete días. 9 Y el séptimo día raerá todo el pelo de su cabeza, su barba y las cejas de sus ojos y todo su pelo, y lavará sus vestidos, y lavará su cuerpo en agua, y será limpio.

10 El día octavo tomará dos corderos sin defecto, y una cordera de un año sin tacha, y tres décimas de efa de flor de harina para ofrenda amasada con aceite, y un log de aceite. 11 Y el sacerdote que le purifica presentará delante de Jehová al que se ha de limpiar, con aquellas cosas, a la puerta del tabernáculo de reunión; 12 y tomará el sacerdote un cordero y lo ofrecerá por la culpa, con el log de aceite, y lo mecerá como ofrenda mecida delante de Jehová. 13 Y degollará el cordero en el lugar donde se degüella el sacrificio por el pecado y el holocausto, en el lugar del santuario; porque como la víctima por el pecado, así también la víctima por la culpa es del sacerdote; es cosa muy sagrada. 14 Y el sacerdote tomará de la sangre de la víctima por la culpa, y la pondrá el sacerdote sobre el lóbulo de la oreja derecha del que se purifica, sobre el pulgar de su mano derecha y sobre el pulgar de su pie derecho. 15 Asimismo el sacerdote tomará del log de aceite, y lo echará sobre la palma de su mano izquierda, 16 y mojará su dedo derecho en el aceite que tiene en su mano izquierda, y esparcirá del aceite con su dedo siete veces delante de Jehová. 17 Y de lo que quedare del aceite que tiene en su mano, pondrá el sacerdote sobre el lóbulo de la oreja derecha del que se purifica, sobre el pulgar de su mano derecha y sobre el pulgar de su pie derecho, encima de la sangre del sacrificio por la culpa. 18 Y lo que quedare del aceite que tiene en su mano, lo pondrá sobre la cabeza del que se purifica; y hará el sacerdote expiación por él delante de Jehová. 19 Ofrecerá luego el sacerdote el sacrificio por el pecado, y hará expiación por el que se ha de purificar de su inmundicia; y después degollará el holocausto, 20 y hará subir el sacerdote el holocausto y la ofrenda sobre el altar. Así hará el sacerdote expiación por él, y será limpio.

21 Mas si fuere pobre, y no tuviere para tanto, entonces tomará un cordero para ser ofrecido como ofrenda mecida por la culpa, para reconciliarse, y una décima de efa de flor de harina amasada con aceite para ofrenda, y un log de aceite, 22 y dos tórtolas o dos palominos, según pueda; uno será para expiación por el pecado, y el otro para holocausto. 23 Al octavo día de su purificación traerá estas cosas al sacerdote, a la puerta del tabernáculo de reunión, delante de Jehová. 24 Y el sacerdote tomará el cordero de la expiación por la culpa, y el log de aceite, y los mecerá el sacerdote como ofrenda mecida delante de Jehová. 25 Luego degollará el cordero de la culpa, y el sacerdote tomará de la sangre de la culpa, y la pondrá sobre el lóbulo de la oreja derecha del que se purifica, sobre el pulgar de su mano derecha y sobre el pulgar de su pie derecho. 26 Y el sacerdote echará del aceite sobre la palma de su mano izquierda; 27 y con su dedo derecho el sacerdote rociará del aceite que tiene en su mano izquierda, siete veces delante de Jehová. 28 También el sacerdote pondrá del aceite que tiene en su mano sobre el lóbulo de la oreja derecha del que se purifica, sobre el pulgar de su mano derecha y sobre el pulgar de su pie derecho, en el lugar de la sangre de la culpa. 29 Y lo que sobre del aceite que el sacerdote tiene en su mano, lo pondrá sobre la cabeza del que se purifica, para reconciliarlo delante de Jehová. 30 Asimismo ofrecerá una de las tórtolas o uno de los palominos, según pueda. 31 Uno en sacrificio de expiación por el pecado, y el otro en holocausto, además de la ofrenda; y hará el sacerdote expiación por el que se ha de purificar, delante de Jehová. 32 Esta es la ley para el que hubiere tenido plaga de lepra, y no tuviere más para su purificación.

33 Habló también Jehová a Moisés y a Aarón, diciendo: 34 Cuando hayáis entrado en la tierra de Canaán, la cual yo os doy en posesión, si pusiere yo plaga de lepra en alguna casa de la tierra de vuestra posesión, 35 vendrá aquel de quien fuere la casa y dará aviso al sacerdote, diciendo: Algo como plaga ha aparecido en mi casa. 36 Entonces el sacerdote mandará desocupar la casa antes que entre a mirar la plaga, para que no sea contaminado todo lo que estuviere en la casa; y después el sacerdote entrará a examinarla. 37 Y examinará la plaga; y si se vieren manchas en las paredes de la casa, manchas verdosas o rojizas, las cuales parecieren más profundas que la superficie de la pared, 38 el sacerdote saldrá de la casa a la puerta de ella, y cerrará la casa por siete días. 39 Y al séptimo día volverá el sacerdote, y la examinará; y si la plaga se hubiere extendido en las paredes de la casa, 40 entonces mandará el sacerdote, y arrancarán las piedras en que estuviere la plaga, y las echarán fuera de la ciudad en lugar inmundo. 41 Y hará raspar la casa por dentro alrededor, y derramarán fuera de la ciudad, en lugar inmundo, el barro que rasparen. 42 Y tomarán otras piedras y las pondrán en lugar de las piedras quitadas; y tomarán otro barro y recubrirán la casa.

43 Y si la plaga volviere a brotar en aquella casa, después que hizo arrancar las piedras y raspar la casa, y después que fue recubierta, 44 entonces el sacerdote entrará y la examinará; y si pareciere haberse extendido la plaga en la casa, es lepra maligna en la casa; inmunda es. 45 Derribará, por tanto, la tal casa, sus piedras, sus maderos y toda la mezcla de la casa; y sacarán todo fuera de la ciudad a lugar inmundo. 46 Y cualquiera que entrare en aquella casa durante los días en que la mandó cerrar, será inmundo hasta la noche. 47 Y el que durmiere en aquella casa, lavará sus vestidos; también el que comiere en la casa lavará sus vestidos.

48 Mas si entrare el sacerdote y la examinare, y viere que la plaga no se ha extendido en la casa después que fue recubierta, el sacerdote declarará limpia la casa, porque la plaga ha desaparecido. 49 Entonces tomará para limpiar la casa dos avecillas, y madera de cedro, grana e hisopo; 50 y degollará una avecilla en una vasija de barro sobre aguas corrientes. 51 Y tomará el cedro, el hisopo, la grana y la avecilla viva, y los mojará en la sangre de la avecilla muerta y en las aguas corrientes, y rociará la casa siete veces. 52 Y purificará la casa con la sangre de la avecilla, con las aguas corrientes, con la avecilla viva, la madera de cedro, el hisopo y la grana. 53 Luego soltará la avecilla viva fuera de la ciudad sobre la faz del campo. Así hará expiación por la casa, y será limpia.

54 Esta es la ley acerca de toda plaga de lepra y de tiña, 55 y de la lepra del vestido, y de la casa, 56 y acerca de la hinchazón, y de la erupción, y de la mancha blanca, 57 para enseñar cuándo es inmundo, y cuándo limpio. Esta es la ley tocante a la lepra.

Cleansing From Defiling Skin Diseases

14 The Lord said to Moses, 2 “These are the regulations for any diseased person at the time of their ceremonial cleansing, when they are brought to the priest:(A) 3 The priest is to go outside the camp and examine them.(B) If they have been healed of their defiling skin disease,[a](C) 4 the priest shall order that two live clean birds and some cedar wood, scarlet yarn and hyssop(D) be brought for the person to be cleansed.(E) 5 Then the priest shall order that one of the birds be killed over fresh water in a clay pot.(F) 6 He is then to take the live bird and dip it, together with the cedar wood, the scarlet yarn and the hyssop, into the blood of the bird that was killed over the fresh water.(G) 7 Seven times(H) he shall sprinkle(I) the one to be cleansed of the defiling disease, and then pronounce them clean. After that, he is to release the live bird in the open fields.(J)

8 “The person to be cleansed must wash their clothes,(K) shave off all their hair and bathe with water;(L) then they will be ceremonially clean.(M) After this they may come into the camp,(N) but they must stay outside their tent for seven days. 9 On the seventh day(O) they must shave off all their hair;(P) they must shave their head, their beard, their eyebrows and the rest of their hair. They must wash their clothes and bathe themselves with water, and they will be clean.(Q)

10 “On the eighth day(R) they must bring two male lambs and one ewe lamb(S) a year old, each without defect, along with three-tenths of an ephah[b](T) of the finest flour mixed with olive oil for a grain offering,(U) and one log[c] of oil.(V) 11 The priest who pronounces them clean shall present(W) both the one to be cleansed and their offerings before the Lord at the entrance to the tent of meeting.(X)

12 “Then the priest is to take one of the male lambs and offer it as a guilt offering,(Y) along with the log of oil; he shall wave them before the Lord as a wave offering.(Z) 13 He is to slaughter the lamb in the sanctuary area(AA) where the sin offering[d] and the burnt offering are slaughtered. Like the sin offering, the guilt offering belongs to the priest;(AB) it is most holy. 14 The priest is to take some of the blood of the guilt offering and put it on the lobe of the right ear of the one to be cleansed, on the thumb of their right hand and on the big toe of their right foot.(AC) 15 The priest shall then take some of the log of oil, pour it in the palm of his own left hand,(AD) 16 dip his right forefinger into the oil in his palm, and with his finger sprinkle some of it before the Lord seven times.(AE) 17 The priest is to put some of the oil remaining in his palm on the lobe of the right ear of the one to be cleansed, on the thumb of their right hand and on the big toe of their right foot, on top of the blood of the guilt offering.(AF) 18 The rest of the oil in his palm the priest shall put on the head of the one to be cleansed(AG) and make atonement for them before the Lord.

19 “Then the priest is to sacrifice the sin offering and make atonement for the one to be cleansed from their uncleanness.(AH) After that, the priest shall slaughter the burnt offering 20 and offer it on the altar, together with the grain offering, and make atonement for them,(AI) and they will be clean.(AJ)

21 “If, however, they are poor(AK) and cannot afford these,(AL) they must take one male lamb as a guilt offering to be waved to make atonement for them, together with a tenth of an ephah[e] of the finest flour mixed with olive oil for a grain offering, a log of oil, 22 and two doves or two young pigeons,(AM) such as they can afford, one for a sin offering and the other for a burnt offering.(AN)

23 “On the eighth day they must bring them for their cleansing to the priest at the entrance to the tent of meeting,(AO) before the Lord.(AP) 24 The priest is to take the lamb for the guilt offering,(AQ) together with the log of oil,(AR) and wave them before the Lord as a wave offering.(AS) 25 He shall slaughter the lamb for the guilt offering and take some of its blood and put it on the lobe of the right ear of the one to be cleansed, on the thumb of their right hand and on the big toe of their right foot.(AT) 26 The priest is to pour some of the oil into the palm of his own left hand,(AU) 27 and with his right forefinger sprinkle some of the oil from his palm seven times before the Lord. 28 Some of the oil in his palm he is to put on the same places he put the blood of the guilt offering—on the lobe of the right ear of the one to be cleansed, on the thumb of their right hand and on the big toe of their right foot. 29 The rest of the oil in his palm the priest shall put on the head of the one to be cleansed, to make atonement for them before the Lord.(AV) 30 Then he shall sacrifice the doves or the young pigeons, such as the person can afford,(AW) 31 one as a sin offering and the other as a burnt offering,(AX) together with the grain offering. In this way the priest will make atonement before the Lord on behalf of the one to be cleansed.(AY)”

32 These are the regulations for anyone who has a defiling skin disease(AZ) and who cannot afford the regular offerings(BA) for their cleansing.

Cleansing From Defiling Molds

33 The Lord said to Moses and Aaron, 34 “When you enter the land of Canaan,(BB) which I am giving you as your possession,(BC) and I put a spreading mold in a house in that land, 35 the owner of the house must go and tell the priest, ‘I have seen something that looks like a defiling mold in my house.’ 36 The priest is to order the house to be emptied before he goes in to examine the mold, so that nothing in the house will be pronounced unclean. After this the priest is to go in and inspect the house. 37 He is to examine the mold on the walls, and if it has greenish or reddish(BD) depressions that appear to be deeper than the surface of the wall, 38 the priest shall go out the doorway of the house and close it up for seven days.(BE) 39 On the seventh day(BF) the priest shall return to inspect the house. If the mold has spread on the walls, 40 he is to order that the contaminated stones be torn out and thrown into an unclean place outside the town.(BG) 41 He must have all the inside walls of the house scraped and the material that is scraped off dumped into an unclean place outside the town. 42 Then they are to take other stones to replace these and take new clay and plaster the house.

43 “If the defiling mold reappears in the house after the stones have been torn out and the house scraped and plastered, 44 the priest is to go and examine it and, if the mold has spread in the house, it is a persistent defiling mold; the house is unclean.(BH) 45 It must be torn down—its stones, timbers and all the plaster—and taken out of the town to an unclean place.

46 “Anyone who goes into the house while it is closed up will be unclean till evening.(BI) 47 Anyone who sleeps or eats in the house must wash their clothes.(BJ)

48 “But if the priest comes to examine it and the mold has not spread after the house has been plastered, he shall pronounce the house clean,(BK) because the defiling mold is gone. 49 To purify the house he is to take two birds and some cedar wood, scarlet yarn and hyssop.(BL) 50 He shall kill one of the birds over fresh water in a clay pot.(BM) 51 Then he is to take the cedar wood, the hyssop,(BN) the scarlet yarn and the live bird, dip them into the blood of the dead bird and the fresh water, and sprinkle the house seven times.(BO) 52 He shall purify the house with the bird’s blood, the fresh water, the live bird, the cedar wood, the hyssop and the scarlet yarn. 53 Then he is to release the live bird in the open fields(BP) outside the town. In this way he will make atonement for the house, and it will be clean.(BQ)”

54 These are the regulations for any defiling skin disease,(BR) for a sore, 55 for defiling molds(BS) in fabric or in a house, 56 and for a swelling, a rash or a shiny spot,(BT) 57 to determine when something is clean or unclean.
