³⁴ as has been done today, the Lord has commanded to be done to make atonement for you.^(A)

²⁷ Unlike the other^[a] high priests, he has no need to offer sacrifices day after day, first for his own sins and then for those of the people; this he did once for all when he offered himself.^(A)

¹¹ And every priest stands day after day at his service, offering again and again the same sacrifices that can never take away sins.^{(A) 12} But when Christ^[a] had offered for all time a single sacrifice for sins, “he sat down at the right hand of God,”

¹⁶ one who has become a priest, not through a legal requirement concerning physical descent but through the power of an indestructible life.^(A)
