⁸ That which died or was torn by wild animals he shall not eat, becoming unclean by it: I am the Lord.^(A)

¹⁵ All persons, native-born or alien, who eat what dies of itself or what has been torn by wild animals shall wash their clothes and bathe themselves in water and be unclean until the evening; then they shall be clean.^(A)

³¹ “You shall be people consecrated to me, so you shall not eat any meat that is mangled by beasts in the field; you shall throw it to the dogs.^(A)

³¹ The priests shall not eat of anything, whether bird or animal, that died of itself or was torn by animals.^(A)

²¹ “You shall not eat anything that dies of itself; you may give it to aliens residing in your towns for them to eat, or you may sell it to a foreigner. For you are a people holy to the Lord your God.

“You shall not boil a kid in its mother’s milk.^(A)

²⁴ The fat of an animal that died or was torn by wild animals may be put to any other use, but you must not eat it.

³⁹ “If an animal of which you may eat dies, anyone who touches its carcass shall be unclean until the evening. ⁴⁰ Those who eat of its carcass shall wash their clothes and be unclean until the evening, and those who carry the carcass shall wash their clothes and be unclean until the evening.^(A)
