⁷ When the sun goes down, he will be clean, and after that he may eat the sacred offerings, for they are his food.^(A)

²² He may eat the most holy food of his God,^(A) as well as the holy food;

¹³ Don’t you know that those who serve in the temple get their food from the temple, and that those who serve at the altar share in what is offered on the altar?^{(A) 14} In the same way, the Lord has commanded that those who preach the gospel should receive their living from the gospel.^(B)

⁴ Don’t we have the right to food and drink?^(A)

³ This is the share due the priests^(A) from the people who sacrifice a bull^(B) or a sheep: the shoulder, the internal organs and the meat from the head.^{(C) 4} You are to give them the firstfruits of your grain, new wine and olive oil, and the first wool from the shearing of your sheep,^(D)

¹¹ “This also is yours: whatever is set aside from the gifts of all the wave offerings^(A) of the Israelites. I give this to you and your sons and daughters as your perpetual share.^(B) Everyone in your household who is ceremonially clean^(C) may eat it.

¹² “I give you all the finest olive oil and all the finest new wine and grain^(D) they give the Lord^(E) as the firstfruits of their harvest.^{(F) 13} All the land’s firstfruits that they bring to the Lord will be yours.^(G) Everyone in your household who is ceremonially clean may eat it.^(H)

¹⁴ “Everything in Israel that is devoted^[a] to the Lord^(I) is yours. ¹⁵ The first offspring of every womb, both human and animal, that is offered to the Lord is yours.^(J) But you must redeem^(K) every firstborn^(L) son and every firstborn male of unclean animals.^{(M) 16} When they are a month old,^(N) you must redeem them at the redemption price set at five shekels^[b](O) of silver, according to the sanctuary shekel,^(P) which weighs twenty gerahs.^(Q)

¹⁷ “But you must not redeem the firstborn of a cow, a sheep or a goat; they are holy.^(R) Splash their blood^(S) against the altar and burn their fat^(T) as a food offering, an aroma pleasing to the Lord.^{(U) 18} Their meat is to be yours, just as the breast of the wave offering^(V) and the right thigh are yours.^{(W) 19} Whatever is set aside from the holy^(X) offerings the Israelites present to the Lord I give to you and your sons and daughters as your perpetual share. It is an everlasting covenant of salt^(Y) before the Lord for both you and your offspring.”
