^6 (A)‘When the days of her purification are fulfilled, whether for a son or a daughter, she shall bring to the priest a ^(B)lamb ^[a]of the first year as a burnt offering, and a young pigeon or a turtledove as a ^(C)sin offering, to the door of the tabernacle of meeting.

Jesus Presented in the Temple

²² Now when ^(A)the days of her purification according to the law of Moses were completed, they brought Him to Jerusalem to present Him to the Lord

¹⁸ knowing that you were not redeemed with ^[a]corruptible things, like silver or gold, from your aimless conduct received by tradition from your fathers, ¹⁹ but ^(A)with the precious blood of Christ, ^(B)as of a lamb without blemish and without spot.

²⁶ For such a High Priest was fitting for us, ^(A)who is holy, ^[a]harmless, undefiled, separate from sinners, ^(B)and has become higher than the heavens;

²¹ For ^(A)He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become ^(B)the righteousness of God in Him.

The Lamb of God^(A)

²⁹ The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him, and said, “Behold! ^(B)The Lamb of God ^(C)who takes away the sin of the world!

²⁹ And on the eighth day she shall take for herself two turtledoves or two young pigeons, and bring them to the priest, to the door of the tabernacle of meeting.

¹⁰ Then ^(A)on the eighth day he shall bring two turtledoves or two young pigeons to the priest, to the door of the tabernacle of meeting;

¹⁴ On the eighth day he shall take for himself ^(A)two turtledoves or two young pigeons, and come before the Lord, to the door of the tabernacle of meeting, and give them to the priest.

^22 (A)and two turtledoves or two young pigeons, such as he is able to afford: one shall be a sin offering and the other a burnt offering.
