Lamentations 3:9-11

⁹He impeded my way with blocks of stone,
making my paths uneven.

¹⁰He is like^[a] a bear that lies in wait for me,
a lion in hiding.
¹¹He forced me off my path,
tearing me to pieces and making me desolate.

New International Version

⁹He has barred^(A) my way with blocks of stone;
he has made my paths crooked.^(B)

¹⁰Like a bear lying in wait,
like a lion^(C) in hiding,^(D)
¹¹he dragged me from the path and mangled^(E) me
and left me without help.

⁹He hath inclosed my ways with hewn stone, he hath made my paths crooked.

¹⁰He was unto me as a bear lying in wait, and as a lion in secret places.

¹¹He hath turned aside my ways, and pulled me in pieces: he hath made me desolate.
