Lamentations 3:17-25

¹⁷ My soul has been rejected ^(A)from peace;
I have forgotten ^[a]happiness.
¹⁸ So I say, “My strength has perished,
And so has my ^(B)hope from the Lord.”

¹⁹ Remember my affliction and my ^[b]wandering, the ^(C)wormwood and bitterness.
²⁰ Surely ^(D)my soul remembers
And is ^(E)bowed down within me.
²¹ This I recall to my mind,
Therefore I have ^(F)hope.
²² The Lord’s ^(G)lovingkindnesses ^[c]indeed never cease,
^(H)For His compassions never fail.
²³ They are new ^(I)every morning;
Great is ^(J)Your faithfulness.
²⁴ “The Lord is my ^(K)portion,” says my soul,
“Therefore I ^(L)have hope in Him.”
²⁵ The Lord is good to those who ^(M)wait for Him,
To the ^[d]person who ^(N)seeks Him.
