Thiên Sứ Với Quyển Sách
10 Lúc ấy, tôi thấy một thiên sứ dũng mãnh khác từ trời xuống, mặc y phục bằng mây, đầu đội cầu vồng, mặt sáng rực như mặt trời, chân như trụ lửa. 2 Trong tay, thiên sứ cầm một quyển sách nhỏ đã mở ra, chân phải đặt trên biển, chân trái đạp trên đất. 3 Thiên sứ thét lên một tiếng lớn như tiếng gầm sư tử, liền có bảy tiếng sấm vang rền. 4 Khi bảy tiếng sấm nói, tôi sắp ghi chép, thì có tiếng phán từ trời: “Phải giữ kín những điều bảy tiếng sấm nói ra, đừng ghi chép!”
5 Thiên sứ tôi thấy đang đứng trên biển và đất đưa tay phải lên trời, 6 nhân danh Đấng Hằng Sống đời đời, là Đấng sáng tạo bầu trời và mọi vật trên trời, đất và muôn vật trên đất, biển và mọi vật dưới biển, mà thề rằng: “Đã hết thời hạn rồi, 7 Nhưng trong những ngày khi tiếng kèn của thiên sứ thứ bảy sắp thổi lên thì huyền nhiệm của Đức Chúa Trời sẽ hoàn thành, như Ngài đã công bố cho các đầy tớ Ngài là các tiên tri.”
8 Rồi tôi nghe tiếng phán từ trời bảo tôi một lần nữa: “Hãy đi lấy quyển sách đã mở trong tay thiên sứ đang đứng trên biển và trên đất!”
9 Tôi đi đến với vị thiên sứ, xin người cho tôi quyển sách nhỏ. Thiên sứ bảo tôi: “Hãy cầm lấy và ăn đi! Nó sẽ đắng trong bụng ngươi nhưng trong miệng sẽ ngọt như mật.” 10 Tôi lấy cuốn sách nhỏ nơi tay thiên sứ mà ăn, trong miệng ngọt như mật nhưng khi nuốt rồi, thấy đắng trong bụng. 11 Các vị ấy bảo tôi: “Ngươi lại phải nói tiên tri về nhiều dân tộc, quốc gia, ngôn ngữ và vua chúa nữa.”

The Angel and the Little Scroll
10 Then I saw another mighty angel coming down from heaven, wrapped in a cloud, with (A)a rainbow over his head, and (B)his face was like the sun, and (C)his legs like pillars of fire. 2 (D)He had a little scroll open in his hand. And he set his right foot on the sea, and his left foot on the land, 3 and called out with a loud voice, (E)like a lion roaring. When he called out, the seven thunders sounded. 4 And when the seven thunders had sounded, I was about to write, but I heard a voice from heaven saying, (F)“Seal up what the seven thunders have said, and do not write it down.” 5 And the angel whom I saw standing on the sea and on the land (G)raised his right hand to heaven 6 and swore by (H)him who lives forever and ever, (I)who created heaven and what is in it, the earth and what is in it, and the sea and what is in it, that there would be no more delay, 7 but that (J)in the days of the trumpet call to be sounded by the seventh angel, the mystery of God would be fulfilled, (K)just as he announced to his servants the prophets.
8 Then the voice that I had heard from heaven spoke to me again, saying, “Go, take the scroll that is open in the hand of the angel who is standing on the sea and on the land.” 9 So I went to the angel and told him to give me the little scroll. And he said to me, (L)“Take and (M)eat it; it will make your stomach bitter, but in your mouth it will be sweet as honey.” 10 And I took the little scroll from the hand of the angel and ate it. It was sweet as honey in my mouth, but when I had eaten it my stomach was made bitter. 11 And I was told, (N)“You must again prophesy about many peoples and nations and languages and kings.”
