Judges 8:4-6

⁴ And Gideon came to Jordan to pass over, he and the three hundred men who were with him, weary, yet pursuing.

⁵ And he said to the men of Succoth, “Please give morsels of bread to the people who follow me (for they are weary), so that I may follow after Zebah and Zalmunna, kings of Midian.”

⁶ And the princes of Succoth said, “Are the hands of Zebah and Zalmunna now in your hands, so that we should give bread to your army?”
