14 One day when she came to Othniel, she urged him[a] to ask her father for a field. When she got off her donkey, Caleb asked her, “What can I do for you?”
15 She replied, “Do me a special favor. Since you have given me land in the Negev, give me also springs of water.” So Caleb gave her the upper and lower springs.(A)
16 The descendants of Moses’ father-in-law,(B) the Kenite,(C) went up from the City of Palms[b](D) with the people of Judah to live among the inhabitants of the Desert of Judah in the Negev near Arad.(E)

14 (A)Now it happened, when she came to him, that [a]she urged him to ask her father for a field. And she dismounted from her donkey, and Caleb said to her, “What do you wish?” 15 So she said to him, (B)“Give me a blessing; since you have given me land in the South, give me also springs of water.”
And Caleb gave her the upper springs and the lower springs.
16 (C)Now the children of the Kenite, Moses’ father-in-law, went up (D)from the City of Palms with the children of Judah into the Wilderness of Judah, which lies in the South near (E)Arad; (F)and they went and dwelt among the people.
