¹⁵ And the Lord threw Sisera and all his chariots and all his army into a panic^[a] before Barak; Sisera got down from his chariot and fled away on foot,^(A)

¹⁰ And the Lord threw them into a panic before Israel, who inflicted a crushing blow on them at Gibeon, chased them by the way of the ascent of Beth-horon, and struck them down as far as Azekah and Makkedah.^(A)

³² And what more should I say? For time would fail me to tell of Gideon, Barak, Samson, Jephthah, of David and Samuel and the prophets,

¹⁵ Then the people of Judah raised the battle shout. And when the people of Judah shouted, God defeated Jeroboam and all Israel before Abijah and Judah.^{(A) 16} The Israelites fled before Judah, and God gave them into their hands.^{(B) 17} Abijah and his army defeated them with great slaughter; five hundred thousand picked men of Israel fell slain.

⁶ For the Lord had caused the Aramean army to hear the sound of chariots and of horses, the sound of a great army, so that they said to one another, “The king of Israel has hired the kings of the Hittites and the kings of Egypt to fight against us.”^(A)
