¹³ And they passed on from there to ^(A)the hill country of Ephraim, and came to the house of Micah.

A Levite and His Concubine

19 In those days, ^(A)when there was no king in Israel, a certain Levite was sojourning in the remote parts of ^(B)the hill country of Ephraim, who took to himself a concubine from ^(C)Bethlehem in Judah.

² So the people of Dan sent five able men from the whole number of their tribe, ^(A)from Zorah and from Eshtaol, ^(B)to spy out the land and to explore it. And they said to them, “Go and explore the land.” And they came ^(C)to the hill country of Ephraim, to the house of Micah, and lodged there. ³ When they were by the house of Micah, they recognized the voice of the young Levite. And they turned aside and said to him, “Who brought you here? What are you doing in this place? What is your business here?”

17 There was a man of ^(A)the hill country of Ephraim, whose name was Micah.

³³ And Eleazar the son of Aaron died, and they buried him at Gibeah, the town of ^(A)Phinehas his son, which had been given him in ^(B)the hill country of Ephraim.

³⁰ And they buried him in his own inheritance at ^(A)Timnath-serah, which is in the hill country of Ephraim, north of the mountain of Gaash.
