8 El îşi alesese noi dumnezei(A).
Atunci, războiul era la porţi,
Dar nu vedeai(B) nici scut, nici suliţă
La patruzeci de mii în Israel.
9 Inima mea se îndreaptă spre căpeteniile lui Israel,
Spre aceia din popor care(C) s-au arătat gata să lupte.
Binecuvântaţi pe Domnul!
10 Voi, care(D) călăriţi pe măgăriţe albe,
Voi, care(E) şedeţi pe covoare,
Şi voi, care umblaţi pe drum, cântaţi!(F)

9 My heart is with Israel’s princes,

sitting on your saddle blankets,
and you who walk along the road,
