Lupta lui Samson cu leul
14 Samson s-a pogorât la Timna(A) şi a văzut(B) acolo o femeie din fetele filistenilor. 2 Când s-a suit înapoi, a spus lucrul acesta tatălui său şi mamei sale şi a zis: „Am văzut la Timna o femeie din fetele filistenilor; luaţi-mi-o acum(C) de nevastă”. 3 Tatăl său şi mama sa i-au zis: „Nu este nicio femeie între fetele fraţilor(D) tăi şi în tot poporul nostru, de te duci să-ţi iei nevastă de la filisteni, care sunt netăiaţi(E) împrejur?” Şi Samson a zis tatălui său: „Ia-mi-o, căci îmi place.”

Samson’s Marriage
14 Samson(A) went down to Timnah(B) and saw there a young Philistine woman. 2 When he returned, he said to his father and mother, “I have seen a Philistine woman in Timnah; now get her for me as my wife.”(C)
3 His father and mother replied, “Isn’t there an acceptable woman among your relatives or among all our people?(D) Must you go to the uncircumcised(E) Philistines to get a wife?(F)”
But Samson said to his father, “Get her for me. She’s the right one for me.”

14 And Samson went down to Timnath, and saw a woman in Timnath of the daughters of the Philistines.
2 And he came up, and told his father and his mother, and said, I have seen a woman in Timnath of the daughters of the Philistines: now therefore get her for me to wife.
3 Then his father and his mother said unto him, Is there never a woman among the daughters of thy brethren, or among all my people, that thou goest to take a wife of the uncircumcised Philistines? And Samson said unto his father, Get her for me; for she pleaseth me well.
