Ang Pulong Sang Dios
Nagpatindog ang mga Israelinhon sang Monumento
4 Sang nakatabok na ang tanan nga katawhan sang Israel sa Suba sang Jordan, nagsiling ang Ginoo kay Josue, 2 “Magpili ka sang dose ka tawo, isa sa kada tribo, 3 kag sugua sila nga magkuha ang kada isa sa ila sang isa ka bato sa tunga sang suba, didto mismo sa ginatindugan sang mga pari. Dayon dal-on nila ini sa lugar nga inyo tineran karon nga gab-i.”
4 Gani gintawag ni Josue ang dose ka tawo nga iya ginpili halin sa kada tribo sang Israel, kag ginsilingan, 5 “Kadto kamo sa tunga sang suba, sa atubangan sang Kahon sang Ginoo nga inyo Dios. Ang kada isa sa inyo magkuha kag magpas-an sang isa ka bato para sa tagsa ka tribo sang Israel 6 kag tumpukon dayon ninyo agod mangin isa ka monumento bilang handumanan sa ginhimo sang Ginoo. Sa ulihi, kon magpamangkot sa inyo ang inyo mga kabataan kon ano ang buot silingon sang sini nga mga bato, 7 sugiran ninyo sila nga nag-untat sa pag-ilig ang Suba sang Jordan sang gintabok ang Kahon sang Kasugtanan sang Ginoo. Ini nga mga bato isa ka handumanan para sa katawhan sang Israel hasta san-o.”
8 Gintuman sang dose ka Israelinhon ang ginsugo sa ila ni Josue. Suno sa ginsiling sang Ginoo kay Josue, nagkuha sila sang dose ka bato sa tunga sang suba, isa ka bato para sa kada tribo sang Israel. Gindala nila ang mga bato sa ila gintineran kag ginbutang didto. 9 Nagbutang man si Josue sang dose ka bato sa tunga sang suba, sa lugar nga gintindugan mismo sang mga pari nga nagdala sang Kahon sang Kasugtanan. Hasta subong didto pa ato nga mga bato. 10 Nagpabilin nga nagatindog sa tunga sang suba ang mga pari hasta nga natuman sang mga tawo ang tanan nga ginsugo sang Ginoo kay Josue, nga suno man sa ginsugo ni Moises kay Josue.
11 Sang nakatabok na sila tanan, gintabok man sang mga pari ang Kahon sang Ginoo. Kag nag-una liwat ang mga pari sa mga tawo.[a] 12 Nakatabok man kag nag-una sa mga tawo ang mga lalaki nga armado halin sa tribo ni Reuben, Gad, kag katunga sang tribo ni Manase, suno sa ginsugo ni Moises sa ila. 13 Ining 40,000 ka armado nga mga lalaki nag-agi sa presensya sang Ginoo[b] kag nagkadto sa kapatagan sang Jerico agod magpakig-away.
14 Sa sina nga adlaw, ginpadunggan sang Ginoo si Josue sa atubangan sang mga Israelinhon. Kag gintahod si Josue sang mga tawo sa bug-os niya nga kabuhi pareho sang ginhimo sang mga tawo kay Moises.
15 Pagkatabok sadto sang mga Israelinhon sa Suba, nagsiling ang Ginoo kay Josue, 16-17 “Sugua ang mga pari nga nagadala sang Kahon sang Kasuguan[c] nga maghalin na sila dira sa tunga sang Suba sang Jordan.” Kag gintuman ato ni Josue. 18 Gani naghalin ang mga pari sa suba nga dala ang Kahon sang Kasugtanan sang Ginoo. Paglapak pa lang nila sa higad, nag-ilig liwat ang suba kag nag-awas ang tubig pareho sadto.
19 Ang pagtabok sang mga Israelinhon sa Suba sang Jordan natabo sang ikanapulo nga adlaw sang nahauna nga bulan. Dayon nagkampo ang mga Israelinhon sa Gilgal, sa sidlangan dampi sang Jerico. 20 Didto ginplastar ni Josue ang dose ka bato nga ginpakuha niya sa Suba sang Jordan. 21 Nagsiling si Josue sa mga Israelinhon, “Sa ulihi, kon magpamangkot sa inyo ang inyo mga kabataan kon ano ang buot silingon sini nga mga bato, 22 sugiran ninyo sila nga naglakat ang mga Israelinhon sa mamala nga duta sang magtabok sila sa Suba sang Jordan. 23 Sugiran ninyo sila nga ginpamala sang Ginoo nga inyo Dios ang Suba sang Jordan hasta nga nakatabok kamo pareho sang ginhimo niya sa Mapula nga Dagat hasta nga nakatabok kami. 24 Ginhimo niya ini agod kilalahon sang tanan nga tawo sa kalibutan nga gamhanan gid ang Ginoo, kag agod magtahod kamo permi sa Ginoo nga inyo Dios.”

The Memorial Stones
4 And it came to pass, when all the people had completely crossed (A)over the Jordan, that the Lord spoke to Joshua, saying: 2 (B)“Take for yourselves twelve men from the people, one man from every tribe, 3 and command them, saying, ‘Take for yourselves twelve stones from here, out of the midst of the Jordan, from the place where (C)the priests’ feet stood firm. You shall carry them over with you and leave them in (D)the lodging place where you lodge tonight.’ ”
4 Then Joshua called the twelve men whom he had appointed from the children of Israel, one man from every tribe; 5 and Joshua said to them: “Cross over before the ark of the Lord your God into the midst of the Jordan, and each one of you take up a stone on his shoulder, according to the number of the tribes of the children of Israel, 6 that this may be (E)a sign among you (F)when your children ask in time to come, saying, ‘What do these stones mean to you?’ 7 Then you shall answer them that (G)the waters of the Jordan were cut off before the ark of the covenant of the Lord; when it crossed over the Jordan, the waters of the Jordan were cut off. And these stones shall be for (H)a memorial to the children of Israel forever.”
8 And the children of Israel did so, just as Joshua commanded, and took up twelve stones from the midst of the Jordan, as the Lord had spoken to Joshua, according to the number of the tribes of the children of Israel, and carried them over with them to the place where they lodged, and laid them down there. 9 Then Joshua set up twelve stones in the midst of the Jordan, in the place where the feet of the priests who bore the ark of the covenant stood; and they are there to this day.
10 So the priests who bore the ark stood in the midst of the Jordan until everything was finished that the Lord had commanded Joshua to speak to the people, according to all that Moses had commanded Joshua; and the people hurried and crossed over. 11 Then it came to pass, when all the people had completely crossed over, that the (I)ark of the Lord and the priests crossed over in the presence of the people. 12 And (J)the men of Reuben, the men of Gad, and half the tribe of Manasseh crossed over armed before the children of Israel, as Moses had spoken to them. 13 About forty thousand [a]prepared for war crossed over before the Lord for battle, to the plains of Jericho. 14 On that day the Lord (K)exalted[b] Joshua in the sight of all Israel; and they feared him, as they had feared Moses, all the days of his life.
15 Then the Lord spoke to Joshua, saying, 16 “Command the priests who bear (L)the ark of the Testimony to come up from the Jordan.” 17 Joshua therefore commanded the priests, saying, “Come up from the Jordan.” 18 And it came to pass, when the priests who bore the ark of the covenant of the Lord had come from the midst of the Jordan, and the soles of the priests’ feet touched the dry land, that the waters of the Jordan returned to their place (M)and overflowed all its banks as before.
19 Now the people came up from the Jordan on the tenth day of the first month, and they camped (N)in Gilgal on the east border of Jericho. 20 And (O)those twelve stones which they took out of the Jordan, Joshua set up in Gilgal. 21 Then he spoke to the children of Israel, saying: (P)“When your children ask their fathers in time to come, saying, ‘What are these stones?’ 22 then you shall let your children know, saying, (Q)‘Israel crossed over this Jordan on (R)dry land’; 23 for the Lord your God dried up the waters of the Jordan before you until you had crossed over, as the Lord your God did to the Red Sea, (S)which He dried up before us until we had crossed over, 24 (T)that all the peoples of the earth may know the hand of the Lord, that it is (U)mighty, that you may (V)fear the Lord your God [c]forever.”

Twelve Memorial Stones from the Jordan
4 When all the nation had finished passing (A)over the Jordan, the Lord said to Joshua, 2 (B)“Take twelve men from the people, from each tribe a man, 3 and command them, saying, ‘Take (C)twelve stones from here out of the midst of the Jordan, from the very place (D)where the priests' feet stood firmly, and bring them over with you and lay them down in (E)the place where you lodge tonight.’” 4 Then Joshua called the twelve men from the people of Israel, whom he had appointed, a man from each tribe. 5 And Joshua said to them, “Pass on before the ark of the Lord your God into the midst of the Jordan, and take up each of you a stone upon his shoulder, according to the number of the tribes of the people of Israel, 6 that this may be a sign among you. (F)When your children ask in time to come, ‘What do those stones mean to you?’ 7 then you shall tell them that (G)the waters of the Jordan were cut off before the ark of the covenant of the Lord. When it passed over the Jordan, the waters of the Jordan were cut off. So these stones shall be to the people of Israel (H)a memorial forever.”
8 And the people of Israel did just as Joshua commanded and took up twelve stones out of the midst of the Jordan, according to the number of the tribes of the people of Israel, just as the Lord told Joshua. And they carried them over with them to the place where they lodged and laid them down[a] there. 9 And Joshua set up[b] twelve stones in the midst of the Jordan, (I)in the place where the feet of the priests bearing the ark of the covenant had stood; and they are there to this day. 10 For the priests bearing the ark stood in the midst of the Jordan until everything was finished that the Lord commanded Joshua to tell the people, according to all that Moses had commanded Joshua.
The people passed over in haste. 11 And when all the people had finished passing over, the ark of the Lord and the priests passed over before the people. 12 The sons of Reuben and the sons of Gad and the half-tribe of Manasseh (J)passed over armed before the people of Israel, as Moses had told them. 13 About 40,000 ready for war passed over before the Lord for battle, to the plains of Jericho. 14 On that day the Lord (K)exalted Joshua in the sight of all Israel, and they stood in awe of him just as they had stood in awe of Moses, all the days of his life.
15 And the Lord said to Joshua, 16 “Command the priests bearing (L)the ark of the testimony to come up out of the Jordan.” 17 So Joshua commanded the priests, “Come up out of the Jordan.” 18 And when the priests bearing the ark of the covenant of the Lord came up from the midst of the Jordan, and the soles of the priests' feet were lifted up on dry ground, the waters of the Jordan returned to their place and overflowed all its banks, (M)as before.
19 The people came up out of the Jordan on the tenth day of the first month, and they encamped at (N)Gilgal on the east border of Jericho. 20 And (O)those twelve stones, which they took out of the Jordan, Joshua set up at Gilgal. 21 And he said to the people of Israel, (P)“When your children ask their fathers in times to come, ‘What do these stones mean?’ 22 then you shall let your children know, (Q)‘Israel passed over this Jordan on dry ground.’ 23 For the Lord your God dried up the waters of the Jordan for you until you passed over, as the Lord your God did to the Red Sea, (R)which he dried up for us until we passed over, 24 (S)so that all the peoples of the earth may know that the hand of the Lord is (T)mighty, that you may (U)fear the Lord your God forever.”[c]
