²³ If we have built our own altar to turn away from the Lord and to offer burnt offerings and grain offerings,^(A) or to sacrifice fellowship offerings on it, may the Lord himself call us to account.^(B)

²³ Anyone who does not listen to him will be completely cut off from their people.’^[a](A)

²⁵ See to it that you do not refuse^(A) him who speaks.^(B) If they did not escape when they refused him who warned^(C) them on earth, how much less will we, if we turn away from him who warns us from heaven?^(D)
