5 At nightfall, when the city gate was about to close, the men went out, and I don’t know where they were going. Chase after them quickly, and you can catch up with them! ’ 6 But she had taken them up to the roof and hidden them(A) among the stalks of flax that she had arranged on the roof. 7 The men pursued them along the road to the fords of the Jordan, and as soon as they left to pursue them, the city gate was shut.

5 At dusk, when it was time to close the city gate,(A) they left. I don’t know which way they went. Go after them quickly. You may catch up with them.”(B) 6 (But she had taken them up to the roof and hidden them under the stalks of flax(C) she had laid out on the roof.)(D) 7 So the men set out in pursuit of the spies on the road that leads to the fords of the Jordan,(E) and as soon as the pursuers(F) had gone out, the gate was shut.

7 And the men pursued after them the way to Jordan unto the fords: and as soon as they which pursued after them were gone out, they shut the gate.
