⁶ And the Lord said to Joshua, ^(A)“Do not be afraid of them, for tomorrow at this time I will give over all of them, slain, to Israel. You shall ^(B)hamstring their horses and burn their ^(C)chariots with fire.”

⁹ And Joshua did to them ^(A)just as the Lord said to him: he hamstrung their horses and burned their chariots with fire.

^4 (A)And David took from him 1,700 horsemen, and 20,000 foot soldiers. And David ^(B)hamstrung all the chariot horses but left enough for 100 chariots.
