4 Os clãs de Coate foram os primeiros a serem sorteados, eles eram levitas, descendentes do sacerdote Aarão. Uma parte dos coatitas recebeu treze cidades nos territórios das tribos de Judá, de Simeão e de Benjamim. 5 Os outros coatitas receberam dez cidades dentro dos territórios dos clãs das tribos de Efraim, de Dã, e da metade da tribo de Manassés. 6 Os descendentes de Gérson receberam treze cidades dos clãs das tribos de Issacar, Asser, Naftali e da outra metade da tribo de Manassés que vive em Basã.
7 Os clãs descendentes de Merari, receberam doze cidades das tribos de Rúben, de Gade e de Zebulom.
8 Assim os israelitas deram aos levitas estas cidades com os seus campos de pastagens como o SENHOR tinha ordenado que fizessem por meio de Moisés.
9 São estes os nomes das cidades que foram dadas aos levitas pelas tribos de Judá e de Simeão. 10 Os levitas do clã de Coate, descendentes de Aarão, escolheram as cidades que queriam porque foram os primeiros a serem sorteados. 11 Foi-lhes dado Quiriate-Arbá, ou seja, Hebrom, na região montanhosa de Judá, e os campos de pastagens ao seu redor. Arbá foi o pai de Anaque. 12 Mas os campos e as vilas ao redor da cidade pertenciam a Calebe, filho de Jefuné. 13 Portanto, aos descendentes do sacerdote Aarão foi dada a cidade de Hebrom. Era uma cidade de refúgio para quem matasse alguém sem querer. Também lhes foram dadas as cidades de Libna, 14 Jatir, Estemoa, 15 Holon, Debir, 16 Ain, Jutá e Bete-Semes. Ao todo os descendentes de Aarão receberam daquelas duas tribos nove cidades com os seus campos de pastagens.
17 Da tribo de Benjamim receberam Gibeom, Gueba, 18 Anatote e Almon. Ao todo, quatro cidades com os seus campos de pastagens. 19 Todas as cidades dadas aos sacerdotes, descendentes de Aarão, foram treze, com os seus campos de pastagens.
20 Aos outros clãs coatitas, dos levitas, foram dadas quatro cidades dentro de Efraim: 21 Nas montanhas de Efraim, receberam quatro cidades: Siquém, que era uma cidade de refúgio para quem matasse alguém sem querer, Gezer, 22 Quibzaim e Bete-Horom, cada uma com os seus campos de pastagens.
23 Da tribo de Dã receberam quatro cidades: Elteque, Guibetom, 24 Aialon e Gate-Rimom, cada uma com os seus campos de pastagens. 25 Da metade da tribo de Manassés receberam duas cidades com os seus campos de pastagens: Tanaque e Gate-Rimom. 26 Portanto, foram dez as cidades com os seus campos que foram dadas aos outros clãs coatitas.
27 Os descendentes de Gérson, um dos clãs dos levitas, receberam duas cidades com os seus campos da metade da tribo de Manassés: Golã, em Basã, que era uma cidade de refúgio para quem matasse alguém sem querer e Besterá. 28 Da tribo de Issacar receberam Quishion, Daberate, 29 Jarmute e En-Ganim. Ao todo receberam quatro cidades com os seus campos de pastagens.
30 Da tribo de Asser receberam Mishal, Abdon, 31 Helcat e Reobe. Ao todo foram quatro cidades com os seus campos de pastagens.
32 Da tribo de Naftali receberam três cidades com os seus campos de pastagens: Quedes, na Galileia, que também era uma cidade de refúgio para quem matasse alguém sem querer, Hamot-Dor e Cartá.
33 Ao todo, os clãs dos descendentes de Gérson receberam treze cidades com os seus campos de pastagens.
34 Os restantes levitas, os clãs meraritas, receberam da tribo de Zebulom, quatro cidades com os seus campos de pastagens: Jocneão, Cartá, 35 Dimna e Nalal.
36 Da tribo de Rúben receberam quatro cidades com os seus campos de pastagens: Bezer, Jaza, 37 Quedemote e Mefaate. 38 Da tribo de Gade receberam quatro cidades com os seus campos de pastagens: Ramote-Gileade, que era uma cidade de refúgio para quem matasse alguém sem querer, Maanaim, 39 Hesbom e Jazer.

4 E saiu a sorte pelas famílias dos coatitas; e aos filhos de Arão, o sacerdote, dentre os levitas, caíram por sorte, da tribo de Judá, e da tribo de Simeão, e da tribo de Benjamim, treze cidades. 5 E aos outros filhos de Coate caíram por sorte, das famílias da tribo de Efraim, e da tribo de Dã, e da meia tribo de Manassés, dez cidades. 6 E aos filhos de Gérson caíram por sorte, das famílias da tribo de Issacar, e da tribo de Aser, e da tribo de Naftali, e da meia tribo de Manassés, em Basã, treze cidades. 7 Aos filhos de Merari, segundo as suas famílias, da tribo de Rúben, e da tribo de Gade, e da tribo de Zebulom, doze cidades. 8 E deram os filhos de Israel aos levitas estas cidades e os seus arrabaldes por sorte, como o Senhor ordenara pelo ministério de Moisés.
9 Deram mais, da tribo dos filhos de Judá e da tribo dos filhos de Simeão, estas cidades, que por nome foram nomeadas, 10 para que fossem dos filhos de Arão, das famílias dos coatitas, dos filhos de Levi; porquanto a primeira sorte foi sua. 11 Assim, lhes deram a cidade de Arba, do pai de Anaque (esta é Hebrom), no monte de Judá, e os seus arrabaldes em redor dela. 12 Porém o campo da cidade e as suas aldeias deram a Calebe, filho de Jefoné, por sua possessão.
13 Assim, aos filhos de Arão, o sacerdote, deram a cidade de refúgio do homicida, Hebrom, e os seus arrabaldes, e Libna e os seus arrabaldes; 14 e Jatir e os seus arrabaldes, e Estemoa e os seus arrabaldes; 15 e Holom e os seus arrabaldes, e Debir e os seus arrabaldes; 16 e Aim e os seus arrabaldes, e Jutá e os seus arrabaldes, e Bete-Semes e os seus arrabaldes: nove cidades destas duas tribos. 17 E da tribo de Benjamim, Gibeão e os seus arrabaldes, Geba e os seus arrabaldes; 18 e Anatote e os seus arrabaldes, e Almom e os seus arrabaldes: quatro cidades. 19 Todas as cidades dos sacerdotes, filhos de Arão, foram treze cidades e os seus arrabaldes.
20 E as famílias dos filhos de Coate, levitas, que ficaram dos filhos de Coate, tiveram as cidades da sua sorte da tribo de Efraim. 21 E deram-lhes Siquém, cidade de refúgio do homicida, e os seus arrabaldes, no monte de Efraim, e Gezer e os seus arrabaldes; 22 e Quibzaim e os seus arrabaldes, e Bete-Horom e os seus arrabaldes: quatro cidades. 23 E da tribo de Dã, Elteque e os seus arrabaldes, Gibetom e os seus arrabaldes; 24 e Aijalom e os seus arrabaldes, Gate-Rimom e os seus arrabaldes: quatro cidades. 25 E da meia tribo de Manassés, Taanaque e os seus arrabaldes, e Gate-Rimom e os seus arrabaldes: duas cidades. 26 Todas as cidades para as famílias dos demais filhos de Coate foram dez e os seus arrabaldes.

4 The first lot came out for the Kohathites,(A) according to their clans. The Levites who were descendants of Aaron the priest were allotted thirteen towns from the tribes of Judah, Simeon and Benjamin.(B) 5 The rest of Kohath’s descendants were allotted ten towns from the clans of the tribes of Ephraim, Dan and half of Manasseh.(C)
6 The descendants of Gershon(D) were allotted thirteen towns from the clans of the tribes of Issachar,(E) Asher,(F) Naphtali and the half-tribe of Manasseh in Bashan.
7 The descendants of Merari,(G) according to their clans, received twelve(H) towns from the tribes of Reuben, Gad and Zebulun.(I)
8 So the Israelites allotted to the Levites these towns and their pasturelands, as the Lord had commanded through Moses.
9 From the tribes of Judah and Simeon they allotted the following towns by name 10 (these towns were assigned to the descendants of Aaron who were from the Kohathite clans of the Levites, because the first lot fell to them):
11 They gave them Kiriath Arba(J) (that is, Hebron(K)), with its surrounding pastureland, in the hill country of Judah. (Arba was the forefather of Anak.) 12 But the fields and villages around the city they had given to Caleb son of Jephunneh as his possession.(L)
13 So to the descendants of Aaron the priest they gave Hebron (a city of refuge(M) for one accused of murder), Libnah,(N) 14 Jattir,(O) Eshtemoa,(P) 15 Holon,(Q) Debir,(R) 16 Ain,(S) Juttah(T) and Beth Shemesh,(U) together with their pasturelands—nine towns from these two tribes.
17 And from the tribe of Benjamin they gave them Gibeon,(V) Geba,(W) 18 Anathoth(X) and Almon, together with their pasturelands—four towns.
19 The total number of towns(Y) for the priests, the descendants of Aaron, came to thirteen, together with their pasturelands.(Z)
20 The rest of the Kohathite clans of the Levites were allotted towns from the tribe of Ephraim:
21 In the hill country of Ephraim they were given Shechem(AA) (a city of refuge for one accused of murder) and Gezer,(AB) 22 Kibzaim and Beth Horon,(AC) together with their pasturelands—four towns.(AD)
23 Also from the tribe of Dan they received Eltekeh, Gibbethon,(AE) 24 Aijalon(AF) and Gath Rimmon,(AG) together with their pasturelands—four towns.
25 From half the tribe of Manasseh they received Taanach(AH) and Gath Rimmon, together with their pasturelands—two towns.
26 All these ten towns and their pasturelands were given to the rest of the Kohathite clans.(AI)
27 The Levite clans of the Gershonites were given:
from the half-tribe of Manasseh,
Golan in Bashan(AJ) (a city of refuge for one accused of murder(AK)) and Be Eshterah, together with their pasturelands—two towns;
28 from the tribe of Issachar,(AL)
Kishion,(AM) Daberath,(AN) 29 Jarmuth(AO) and En Gannim,(AP) together with their pasturelands—four towns;
30 from the tribe of Asher,(AQ)
32 from the tribe of Naphtali,
Kedesh(AU) in Galilee (a city of refuge for one accused of murder(AV)), Hammoth Dor and Kartan, together with their pasturelands—three towns.
33 The total number of towns of the Gershonite(AW) clans came to thirteen, together with their pasturelands.
34 The Merarite clans (the rest of the Levites) were given:
from the tribe of Zebulun,(AX)
Jokneam,(AY) Kartah, 35 Dimnah and Nahalal,(AZ) together with their pasturelands—four towns;
36 from the tribe of Reuben,

33 All the cities of the Gershonites according to their families were thirteen cities with their suburbs.
