¹³ And ^(A)when the soles of the feet of the priests bearing the ark of the Lord, ^(B)the Lord of all the earth, shall rest in the waters of the Jordan, the waters of the Jordan shall be cut off from flowing, and the waters coming down from above shall ^(C)stand in one heap.”

¹⁵ and as soon as those bearing the ark had come as far as the Jordan, and ^(A)the feet of the priests bearing the ark were dipped in the brink of the water (now ^(B)the Jordan overflows all its banks ^(C)throughout the time of harvest), ¹⁶ the waters coming down from above stood and rose up in a heap very far away, at Adam, the city that is beside ^(D)Zarethan, and those flowing down toward the Sea of ^(E)the Arabah, ^(F)the Salt Sea, were completely cut off. And the people passed over opposite Jericho.

¹¹ Behold, the ark of the covenant of ^(A)the Lord of all the earth^{[a] (B)}is passing over before you into the Jordan.

^19 (A)Then the angel of God who was going before the host of Israel moved and went behind them, and the pillar of cloud moved from before them and stood behind them, ²⁰ coming between the host of Egypt and the host of Israel. And there was the cloud and the darkness. And it lit up the night^[a] without one coming near the other all night.

²¹ Then Moses ^(B)stretched out his hand over the sea, and the Lord drove the sea back by ^(C)a strong east wind all night and ^(D)made the sea dry land, and the waters were ^(E)divided. ²² And ^(F)the people of Israel went into the midst of the sea on dry ground, the waters being ^(G)a wall to them on their right hand and on their left.
