²¹ And the people said to Joshua, “No, but we will serve the Lord!”

²⁷ You go near and hear all that the Lord our God may say, and ^(A)tell us all that the Lord our God says to you, and we will hear and do it.’

²⁸ “Then the Lord heard the voice of your words when you spoke to me, and the Lord said to me: ‘I have heard the voice of the words of this people which they have spoken to you. ^(B)They are right in all that they have spoken.

¹⁹ Then they said to Moses, ^(A)“You speak with us, and we will hear; but ^(B)let not God speak with us, lest we die.”

⁸ Then ^(A)all the people answered together and said, “All that the Lord has spoken we will do.” So Moses brought back the words of the people to the Lord.

¹⁷ Today you have ^(A)proclaimed the Lord to be your God, and that you will walk in His ways and keep His statutes, His commandments, and His judgments, and that you will ^(B)obey His voice.

⁷ Then he ^(A)took the Book of the Covenant and read in the hearing of the people. And they said, “All that the Lord has said we will do, and be obedient.”

³ So Moses came and told the people all the words of the Lord and all the ^[a]judgments. And all the people answered with one voice and said, ^(A)“All the words which the Lord has said we will do.”
