⁴ Remember how I have allotted^(A) as an inheritance^(B) for your tribes all the land of the nations that remain—the nations I conquered—between the Jordan and the Mediterranean Sea^(C) in the west.

¹⁰ Joshua then cast lots^(A) for them in Shiloh in the presence^(B) of the Lord, and there he distributed the land to the Israelites according to their tribal divisions.^(C)

⁶ “As for all the inhabitants of the mountain regions from Lebanon to Misrephoth Maim,^(A) that is, all the Sidonians, I myself will drive them out^(B) before the Israelites. Be sure to allocate this land to Israel for an inheritance, as I have instructed you,^{(C) 7} and divide it as an inheritance^(D) among the nine tribes and half of the tribe of Manasseh.”
