²¹ But we don’t know how he can see now. We don’t know who opened his eyes. Ask him. He is old enough to answer for himself.” ²² His parents said this because they were afraid of the Jews. The Jews had already decided that anyone who said that Jesus was the Christ would be put out of the synagogue. ²³ That is why his parents said, “He is old enough. Ask him.”
