¹⁷ So they said again to the blind man, “What do you say about him? It was your eyes he opened.” He said, “He is a prophet.”^(A)

²² Moses said, ‘The Lord your God will raise up for you from your own people a prophet like me. You must listen to whatever he tells you.^{(A) 23} And it will be that everyone who does not listen to that prophet will be utterly rooted out of the people.’ ²⁴ And all the prophets, as many as have spoken, from Samuel and those after him, also predicted these days. ²⁵ You are the descendants of the prophets and of the covenant that God gave to your ancestors, saying to Abraham, ‘And in your descendants all the families of the earth shall be blessed.’^{(B) 26} When God raised up his servant,^[a] he sent him first to you, to bless you by turning each of you from your wicked ways.”^(C)

¹⁴ When the people saw the sign that he had done, they began to say, “This is indeed the prophet who is to come into the world.”^(A)

¹⁹ The woman said to him, “Sir,^[a] I see that you are a prophet.

³⁸ how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power; how he went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with him.^(A)

²² “Fellow Israelites,^[a] listen to what I have to say: Jesus of Nazareth,^[b] a man attested to you by God with deeds of power, wonders, and signs that God did through him among you, as you yourselves know^(A)—

¹⁹ He asked them, “What things?” They replied, “The things about Jesus of Nazareth,^[a] who was a prophet mighty in deed and word before God and all the people,^(A)

¹¹ The crowds were saying, “This is the prophet Jesus from Nazareth in Galilee.”^(A)
