³⁵ A slave does not remain in the household forever,^(A) but a son does remain forever.^(B)

³⁴ Then the crowd replied to Him, “We have heard from the scripture that the Messiah will remain forever.^(A) So how can You say, ‘The Son of Man^(B) must be lifted up’?^[a] Who is this Son of Man?”
