⁴ No one who wants to become a public figure acts in secret. Since you are doing these things, show yourself to the world.” ⁵ For even his own brothers did not believe in him.^(A)

⁶ Therefore Jesus told them, “My time^(B) is not yet here; for you any time will do.

Jesus Prays to Be Glorified

17 After Jesus said this, he looked toward heaven^(A) and prayed:

¹⁶ At first his disciples did not understand all this.^(A) Only after Jesus was glorified^(B) did they realize that these things had been written about him and that these things had been done to him.

²³ Jesus replied, “The hour^(A) has come for the Son of Man to be glorified.^(B)

²⁸ Father, glorify your name!”

Then a voice came from heaven,^(A) “I have glorified it, and will glorify it again.”
