John 6:64-66

⁶⁴But [still] there are some of you who do not believe and have faith.” For Jesus knew from the beginning who did not believe, and who would betray Him. ⁶⁵And He was saying, “This is the reason why I have told you that no one can come to Me unless it has been granted him [that is, unless he is enabled to do so] by the Father.”

John 6:66 This does not refer to the original twelve disciples (cf v 67), but to many others who had followed Him and claimed to be His disciples to this point. They were the unbelievers of v 64; Judas is the only one of the twelve singled out. The Greek word mathetes, i.e. “disciple” simply means “learner” and does not necessarily designate a believer.
