²⁸ Be on guard for yourselves and for all the flock^(A) that the Holy Spirit has appointed you to as overseers,^(B) to shepherd the church of God,^[a] which He purchased with His own blood.^(C)

¹⁶ The cup^(A) of blessing^(B) that we give thanks for, is it not a sharing in the blood of Christ? The bread^(C) that we break, is it not a sharing in the body of Christ?

¹³ But now in Christ Jesus, you who were far away have been brought near by the blood^(A) of the Messiah.
