⁴⁹ Your ancestors ate the manna in the wilderness, yet they died.^{(A) 50} But here is the bread that comes down from heaven,^(B) which anyone may eat and not die. ⁵¹ I am the living bread^(C) that came down from heaven.^(D) Whoever eats this bread will live forever. This bread is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world.”^(E)

³⁶ Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life,^(A) but whoever rejects the Son will not see life, for God’s wrath remains on them.

²⁴ “Very truly I tell you, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me^(A) has eternal life^(B) and will not be judged^(C) but has crossed over from death to life.^(D)
