John 6:38-46
New American Standard Bible 1995
38 For (A)I have come down from heaven, (B)not to do My own will, but (C)the will of Him who (D)sent Me. 39 This is the will of Him who sent Me, that of (E)all that He has given Me I (F)lose nothing, but (G)raise it up on the last day. 40 For this is the will of My Father, that everyone who (H)beholds the Son and (I)believes in Him will have eternal life, and I Myself will (J)raise him up on the last day.”
Words to the Jews
41 (K)Therefore the Jews were grumbling about Him, because He said, “I am the bread that (L)came down out of heaven.” 42 They were saying, “(M)Is not this Jesus, the son of Joseph, whose father and mother (N)we know? How does He now say, ‘(O)I have come down out of heaven’?” 43 Jesus answered and said to them, “Do not grumble among yourselves. 44 No one can come to Me unless the Father who sent Me (P)draws him; and I will (Q)raise him up on the last day. 45 It is written (R)in the prophets, ‘(S)And they shall all be (T)taught of God.’ Everyone who has heard and learned from the Father, comes to Me. 46 (U)Not that anyone has seen the Father, except the One who is from God; He has seen the Father.
