²² You worship ^(A)what you do not know; we know what we worship, for ^(B)salvation is of the Jews. ²³ But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will ^(C)worship the Father in ^(D)spirit ^(E)and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him. ^24 (F)God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.”

¹⁷ Do you not yet understand that ^(A)whatever enters the mouth goes into the stomach and is eliminated? ¹⁸ But ^(B)those things which proceed out of the mouth come from the heart, and they defile a man. ^19 (C)For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies.

²⁹ Jesus answered him, “The ^[a]first of all the commandments is: ^(A)‘Hear, O Israel, the Lord our God, the Lord is one. ³⁰ And you shall ^(B)love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength.’ ^[b]This is the first commandment.

Living Sacrifices to God

12 I ^(A)beseech^[a] you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies ^(B)a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your ^[b]reasonable service.

² And ^(A)do not be conformed to this world, but ^(B)be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may ^(C)prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.
