^60 (A)When many of his disciples heard it, they said, “This is a hard saying; who can listen to it?”

⁵² The Jews then ^(A)disputed among themselves, saying, ^(B)“How can this man give us his flesh to eat?”

³⁴ And Mary said to the angel, “How will this be, since I am a virgin?”^[a]

⁴ Nicodemus said to him, “How can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter a second time into his mother's womb and be born?”

²⁴ And he looked up and said, “I see people, but they look like trees, walking.” ²⁵ Then Jesus^[a] laid his hands on his eyes again; and he opened his eyes, his sight was restored, and he saw everything clearly.
