John’s Last Testimony

²² After these things Jesus and His ^(A)disciples came into the land of Judea, and there He was spending time with them and ^(B)baptizing.

²⁶ And they came to John and said to him, “^(A)Rabbi, He who was with you ^(B)beyond the Jordan, to whom you ^(C)have testified, behold, He is baptizing and all are coming to Him.”

^17 (A)For Christ did not send me to baptize, but to preach the gospel, ^(B)not in ^[a]cleverness of speech, so that the cross of Christ would not be made void.
