¹⁶ For God loved^(A) the world in this way:^[a] He gave^[b] his one and only^(B) Son,^(C) so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life.^(D)

⁴³ All the prophets testify^(A) about him that through his name^(B) everyone who believes in him receives forgiveness of sins.”^(C)

⁹ If you confess with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,”^(A) and believe in your heart^(B) that God raised him from the dead,^(C) you will be saved.

⁸ Though you have not seen^(A) him, you love him;^(B) though not seeing him now, you believe in him, and you rejoice^(C) with inexpressible and glorious joy, ⁹ because you are receiving the goal of your faith, the salvation of your souls.

¹⁰ Concerning this salvation, the prophets,^(D) who prophesied about the grace that would come to you, searched and carefully investigated.
