⁴ Just after daybreak, Jesus stood on the beach, but the disciples did not know that it was Jesus.^(A)

¹⁴ When she had said this, she turned around and saw Jesus standing there, but she did not know that it was Jesus.

¹⁵ While they were talking and discussing, Jesus himself came near and went with them,^{(A) 16} but their eyes were kept from recognizing him.

³¹ Then their eyes were opened, and they recognized him, and he vanished from their sight.

¹² After this he appeared in another form to two of them, as they were walking into the country.
