⁸ Finally the other disciple, who had reached the tomb first,^(A) also went inside. He saw and believed.

²⁵ So the other disciples told him, “We have seen the Lord!”

But he said to them, “Unless I see the nail marks in his hands and put my finger where the nails were, and put my hand into his side,^(A) I will not believe.”^(B)

⁴ Both were running, but the other disciple outran Peter and reached the tomb first.

²⁹ Then Jesus told him, “Because you have seen me, you have believed;^(A) blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.”^(B)

⁵⁰ Jesus said, “You believe^[a] because I told you I saw you under the fig tree. You will see greater things than that.”
