Jesus Is Pierced With a Spear, But a Bone Is Not Broken, Fulfilling The Prophecies

³¹ Then the Jews— because it was Preparation day, in order that the bodies might not remain on the cross during the Sabbath (for the day of that Sabbath was a great^[a] day)— asked Pilate that their legs be broken, and they be taken away. ³² So the soldiers came and broke the legs of the first one, and of the other one having been crucified-with Him. ³³ But having come to Jesus, when they saw Him already dead, they did not break His legs.
