Pilate Tries To Release Jesus, But The Jewish Leaders Stop Him
12 From this time[a], Pilate was seeking to release Him, but the Jews shouted saying, “If you release this One, you are not a friend of Caesar. Everyone making himself the king is speaking-against Caesar”.
Pilate Hesitates Again, But Condemns Jesus
13 Therefore Pilate, having heard these words, brought Jesus outside, and sat on a judgment-seat in a place being called ‘The Pavement’ (but in Hebrew, ‘Gabbatha’). 14 Now it was Preparation[b] day of the Passover [Feast][c]. The hour was about the sixth[d]. And he says to the Jews, “Look— your King!”
