¹⁰ Then Simon^(A) Peter,^(B) who had a sword,^(C) drew it, struck the high priest’s^(D) slave, and cut off his right ear. (The slave’s name was Malchus.)

¹¹ At that, Jesus said to Peter, “Sheathe your sword! Am I not to drink the cup^(E) the Father has given Me?”
