⁷ Nevertheless, I tell you the truth: it is to your advantage that I go away, for ^(A)if I do not go away, ^(B)the Helper will not come to you. But ^(C)if ^(D)I go, ^(E)I will send him to you.

²¹ So he said to them again, ^(A)“I am going away, and ^(B)you will seek me, and ^(C)you will die in your sin. Where I am going, you cannot come.” ²² So the Jews said, ^(D)“Will he kill himself, since he says, ‘Where I am going, you cannot come’?”

³³ Little children, ^(A)yet a little while I am with you. You will seek me, and just ^(B)as I said to the Jews, so now I also say to you, ‘Where I am going you cannot come.’

Jesus Foretells Peter's Denial

³⁶ Simon Peter said to him, “Lord, where are you going?” ^(A)Jesus answered him, “Where I am going ^(B)you cannot follow me now, ^(C)but you will follow afterward.”
