³ If I go away and prepare a place for you, I will come again^(A) and take you to myself, so that where I am you may be also.^(B)

²⁴ “Father, I want those you have given me to be with me where I am,^(A) so that they will see my glory, which you have given me because you loved me before the world’s foundation.

⁸ In fact, we are confident, and we would prefer to be away from the body and at home with the Lord.^(A)

²³ I am torn between the two. I long to depart and be with Christ^(A)—which is far better^(B)—

¹⁷ Then^(A) we who are still alive, who are left, will be caught up together with them in the clouds^(B) to meet the Lord in the air, and so we will always be with the Lord.
