⁴ When Jesus heard it, He said, “This sickness will not end in death but is for the glory of God,^(A) so that the Son of God^(B) may be glorified through it.”

17 Jesus spoke these things, looked up to heaven, and said:

¹² Conduct^(A) yourselves honorably among the Gentiles,^[a] so that in a case where they speak against you as those who do what is evil, they will, by observing your good works, glorify God on the day of visitation.^[b](B)
