John 1:29-34
New International Version
John Testifies About Jesus
29 The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him and said, “Look, the Lamb of God,(A) who takes away the sin of the world!(B) 30 This is the one I meant when I said, ‘A man who comes after me has surpassed me because he was before me.’(C) 31 I myself did not know him, but the reason I came baptizing with water was that he might be revealed to Israel.”
32 Then John gave this testimony: “I saw the Spirit come down from heaven as a dove and remain on him.(D) 33 And I myself did not know him, but the one who sent me to baptize with water(E) told me, ‘The man on whom you see the Spirit come down and remain is the one who will baptize with the Holy Spirit.’(F) 34 I have seen and I testify that this is God’s Chosen One.”[a](G)

Exodus 12:3-10
New International Version
3 Tell the whole community of Israel that on the tenth day of this month each man is to take a lamb[a](A) for his family, one for each household.(B) 4 If any household is too small for a whole lamb, they must share one with their nearest neighbor, having taken into account the number of people there are. You are to determine the amount of lamb needed in accordance with what each person will eat. 5 The animals you choose must be year-old males without defect,(C) and you may take them from the sheep or the goats. 6 Take care of them until the fourteenth day of the month,(D) when all the members of the community of Israel must slaughter them at twilight.(E) 7 Then they are to take some of the blood(F) and put it on the sides and tops of the doorframes of the houses where they eat the lambs. 8 That same night(G) they are to eat the meat roasted(H) over the fire, along with bitter herbs,(I) and bread made without yeast.(J) 9 Do not eat the meat raw or boiled in water, but roast it over a fire—with the head, legs and internal organs.(K) 10 Do not leave any of it till morning;(L) if some is left till morning, you must burn it.
