The Testimony of John

¹⁹ This is ^(A)the testimony of John, when ^(B)the Jews sent to him priests and Levites ^(C)from Jerusalem to ask him, “Who are you?”

¹⁶ For this reason ^(A)the Jews were persecuting Jesus, because He was doing these things on the Sabbath.

Jesus’ Equality with God

¹⁸ For this reason therefore ^(A)the Jews ^(B)were seeking all the more to kill Him, because He not only was breaking the Sabbath, but also was calling God His own Father, ^(C)making Himself equal with God.
