34 Då sade folket till honom: "Vi har hört i lagen att Messias skall stanna kvar för alltid. Hur kan då du säga att Människosonen måste bli upphöjd? Vad är det för en Människoson?" 35 Jesus sade till dem: "Ännu en kort tid är ljuset ibland er. Vandra medan ni har ljuset, så att mörkret inte övervinner er. Den som vandrar i mörkret vet inte vart han går.

33 He said this to show the kind of death he was going to die.(A)
34 The crowd spoke up, “We have heard from the Law(B) that the Messiah will remain forever,(C) so how can you say, ‘The Son of Man(D) must be lifted up’?(E) Who is this ‘Son of Man’?”
35 Then Jesus told them, “You are going to have the light(F) just a little while longer. Walk while you have the light,(G) before darkness overtakes you.(H) Whoever walks in the dark does not know where they are going.
